About The Artist
I am a 41-year-old artist, originally born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, and now based in Pennsylvania. Professionally, I work full-time as a Business Manager at a mental health facility alongside my sister. I am also a proud mother to a highly creative daughter, with whom I enjoy collaborating on a variety of imaginative art projects.
I create under the aliases Plague, Plague Docteur, and Plague Wolfen.
During my time in college, I pursued studies in both Art and Psychology, and I have since earned a diverse range of certifications in computer and technology-related fields. I have always had a strong passion for learning and continue to expand my knowledge across multiple disciplines and skill sets.
Art has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I am continually inspired to explore new techniques, styles, and mediums. While not every concept develops exactly as envisioned, I value the creative process and the opportunity to experiment. I primarily focus on visual art, with digital media being my current medium of choice. Thematically, I am often drawn to subjects such as mythology, comics, and the macabre, though I enjoy the freedom to create across a wide range of concepts depending on inspiration.
In addition to digital illustration, I work comfortably across various artistic mediums. I also have a strong interest in programming and web design, frequently engaging in projects that combine creativity with technical problem-solving. At times, I enjoy developing programs simply for the sake of exploration and enjoyment.
I tend to maintain an active and multifaceted schedule, often balancing numerous creative and technical projects simultaneously. Outside of my professional and artistic pursuits, I value spending time with my family, caring for my pets, cooking, exercising, and enjoying outdoor activities such as camping and swimming. I also appreciate quieter, hands-on creative outlets, such as crafting custom stuffed animals for my daughter.
